I am totally geeked out over this years throwback race at Darlington! LOVE the old paint jobs on the cars! If you haven't seen the previews on Nascar.com, check them out here.

Everyone is involved in the fun including pit crews, track officials, and what would a throwback race be without Greg Brady(Barry Williams) singing the National Anthem? I will say that at this point my favorite old scheme is the # 13 of Casey Mears. I understand it's a tribute to Smokey Yunick, but I see Ricky-Bobby's dads car from Talladega Nights.

So as far as the race....

We know racing is tough at "The Lady in Black" There will be plenty of stripes, dents, and crumpled fenders most of those pretty paint jobs. Carl Edwards is the defending race winner and with the way the JGR cars have run this year, it seems that one of them will fine victory lane. The trick is, who can make it through the wrecks?

We still have 4 spots yet to be clinched in the points race, currently held by Chris Buescher, Chase Elliot, Austin Dillion, and Jamie McMurray. Expect those guys to race hard, but not so much that they get into trouble.

My pick for this week......

The #18 JGR Toyota of Kyle Bush. He will get near the front and stay there to avoid any turmoil in the field and bring the Interstate Batteries scheme of Dale Jarret to victory lane.
