Okay, so Wisconsin hammered Nebraska 70-31, but Nebraska did produce the highlight of the game.  Too bad this incredible score wasn’t worth six touchdowns.

The Wisconsin Badgers absolutely waxed the Nebraska Cornhuskers 70-31 in the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis on Saturday night.  However, Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez produced the highlight of the night with an incredible 76-yard touchdown run.

I thought the energetic FOX play-by-play man Gus Johnson was going to pass out because he was so excited about this play.  Gus made another great call and made a memorable play that much more memorable.  The run won’t go down in Nebraska lore though mainly because their defense couldn’t stop Wisconsin’s rushing attack whatsoever.  The Cornhuskers surrendered a whopping 539 yards on the ground.  Ouch!!

Nebraska will face Georgia in the Capital One Bowl on January 1st at 1:00pm ET.  Wisconsin will take on Stanford in the Rose Bowl on January 1st at 5:00pm ET.  Both bowl games, as well as all of the BCS bowl games, can be heard on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.
