It hasn't been a stellar season so far for the Albany Devils and there hasn't been a season for the New Jersey Devils but their young star Adam Henrique has been getting playing time with the AHL club. Now he is sidelined.

Henrique damaged a ligament in his thumb and will have a procedure on the ulnar collateral ligament later today.

The Albany Devils say Henrique was injured in Sunday's game against Wilkes-Barre that was played in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Team officials say Henrique will miss up to six weeks of action.

Last year for the New Jersey Devils Henrique, after being called up from Albany, tallied 16 goals and dished 35 assists. the biggest of those was the game winner against the NY Rangers in game six of the Eastern Conference Finals and sent them to the Stanley Cup Finals where they lost to the Los Angeles Kings.
