New Madden 16 Trailer Featues Beckham Jr

O'Dell Beckham Jr is making amazing catches even in the virtual world

The new trailer for the Madden 16 was recently released and it features a catch similar to the one Beckham had on Sunday night football during the season. The one difference between the Madden catch and the one during the 2014 regular season is the opponent. The Madden trailer shows the Giants offense battling against the Green Bay Packers.

While "The Madden Curse" has been widely discussed for more than a decade, Beckham Jr seems to be doing his best to avoid it before the season begins. The Pro Bowl Wide Receiver has been sitting out of Giants mini camp recently with a hamstring injury.  While it may seem being a cover athlete for a sports game is a great opportunity to gain popularity, it hasn't excluded Beckham Jr from some ribbing from his teammates. "Everybody," Beckham said when asked who was giving him grief. "Because of the hamstring last year and then the fame, it's like, 'Oh, you're too big-time now,' all that. So I mean, I just hear it and you want to blow it off, but after a while it gets old, and it kind of bothers you." Madden 16 will be released in stores on August 25th. Beckham Jr's New York Giants open the regular season on Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys.
