Most likely to ease Sanchez's mind, the New York Jets put Peyton Manning rumors to bed and give their young quarterback a three year extension worth near $58 million.

It must be hard to be Mark Sanchez.  After a season of disappointment and talks of how Peyton Manning would be visiting with the Jets, he gets a massive contract extension, making him one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

Sanchez and the Jets agreed on three more years, with $20 million in guarantees for the 2012 and 2013 season.  Obviously they have confidence in Sanchez or they wouldn't be throwing all that money at him.  In all his knew deal will make him around $58 million, and ultimately put his mind at ease about his future with the team.
