New York Knicks guard Andy Rautins is trying to save up his money during the NBA’s lockout. So he’s done with many young Americans have done: he’s moved back in with his folks.

“It’s nice to get some home cooked meals up here,” Rautins told ESPN. “It’s nice because it’s a rare opportunity to spend time with family and friends… It’s saving me a lot of money right now and I think that’s a big concern for a lot of players.”

Rautins spoke to a financial adviser before the lockout, and he quickly realized that he’d need to cut down costs. He’s by no means the first player to make such a move, and he might well not be the last, either.

He’s been working out at nearby Syracuse, where he went to college, as he tries to stay in shape in anticipation of the upcoming season.
