With NFL training camps opening this week and fall-like temperatures in New York's Capital Region for that matter, I'm ready for some football.

Hopes are high for the reloaded Giants offense and low for the doomed Jets. There's a perennially cautious optimism among Bills fans and Patriots players don't want to talk about 16-0 but I do.

It's equally as difficult to pull off the undefeated season as it is to go completely defeated and yet, imagine an AFC standings at the end of the year that reads: 1st: Patriots 16-0 4th: Jets 0-16. If there were ever a year for it to happen within the same division, this would be it. That said, I'm not putting money on either a perfect or farthest-thing-from-perfect season for New England or New York.
