Well by seed no upsets, not 1 lower seed defeated a higher seed but there was 1 stunner. Although they had home field, a struggling QB, the Denver Broncos stunned the Pittsburgh Steelers in OT in Denver 29-23. While the broncos were seeded higher they were huge underdogs and cast off by many including myself. Denver buolt up a big lead, watched it evaporate then won on the 1st play of OT on an 80 yard pass play from Tebow to Demaryius Thomas sending the bronco faithful into a frenzy. Tebow has a solid if not spectacular playoff debut throwing for 316 yards and 2 TDS both to Thomas. The 4th seeded broncos now head to New England where they will be huge underdogs. Can't wait to hear the Tebow/praying jokes this week. Yawn.

In the other AFC contest to be played Sunday the Baltomore Ravens who fought off the Steelers for the division crown and the bye take on the Houston Texans. Led by a grind it out running game Houston slammed Cincinnati on Saturday. How will rookie T.J. yates handle the crowd and that bull rushing Baltimore defense will determine if the Texans play for the AFC crown. Baltimore went undefeated at home this year for the 1st time ever.

In the NFC all 4 top seeds advanced. Saturday the Saints on the arm of Drew Brees and an under rated ground game toppled the Lions and the NY Giants actually stayed with their 32nd ranked running game to churn out a victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The Giants defense has turned it up the last 3 games allowing only 30 points in the last 3 games, all wins over the Jets, Cowboys and now the Falcs. All 3 wins came at home but now the Giants have to travel to Green Bay. the other NFC game is a matchup between the Saints and 2nd seed San Francisco which will be the early game Saturday afternoon.
