Tonight would have been a thrilling night of NHL hockey. You know, if the owners and players weren’t fighting over which millionaires were entitled to more millions than the other millionaires. Every night the NHL Lockout goes on, 104.5 The Team will break down the games that both sides have stolen from us, because a world without hockey talk is worse than Don Cherry's wardrobe. To catch up on previous editions of the series, go here.

The NHL had three games on its schedule today, a schedule that was derailed by the almighty dollar. As if the NFL needed help gaining ratings for Monday Night Football, it has received it in that there is no current competition in sports outside of baseball for eyes until two Mondays from now, when the NBA is active. Gary Bettman should be the commissioner of the other leagues, seeing as he helps them more than he helps his own.

Vancouver Canucks at Detroit Red Wings: Can somebody tell me why the Red Wings' logo is a wheel with a wing on it? Doesn't possessing a wheel make the wing useless, or vice versa? Logistically speaking, that is just wasteful. No wonder Detroit is in economic ruins.

Florida Panthers at New York Islanders: Islanders fans are probably one of the most upset about the lockout, given the promise of their young, up and coming roster. I say look at the bright side, Islanders fans, at least Rick DiPietro isn't still on the roster. Wait, he is? Forget I said anything.

Nashville Predators at Anaheim Ducks: I can't even make a snarky remark about this one. It would have been a fun game to watch. Everyday there has been at least one of those, which has been agonizing for die hard hockey fans. At least the overlap between hockey fans and NBA fans is of a large scale. Oh, again, forget I said anything.

Enjoy football and baseball instead tonight, everyone!
