While we spend a lot of time chronicling the accomplishments of UAlbany lacrosse star Lyle Thompson, we need to not forget the accomplishments of NIskayuna graduate and Syracuse standout Kayla Treanor.

Thompson was the co-winner of the Tewaaraton Award last year on the men's side and is a finalist this year. Treanor is a finalist on the women's side.

The Niskayuna graduate is up for the award for the second year in a row. She won the ACC Offensive Player of the Year Award after posting 53 goals and 27 assists.

She became the fifth player in Syracuse history to record 200 career goals, and she scored the game-winner in both the ACC quarterfinal and final games.

She's fourth on the all-time Syracuse scoring list.

Syracuse is 14-7 on the year and will play the winner of UAlbany and Penn on Sunday. The Danes and the Quakers play this afternoon at 2 p.m.

The Tewaaraton Award will be awarded on May 28th in Washington D.C.
