After going 14-2 in the America East league season, and handily winning the America East Conference Championship over Hartford, the UAlbany Women's Basketball team earned a No. 13 seed in the NCAA tournament. It is the fourth straight trip to the tournament for UAlbany.

The Danes are 24-8 overall.

As a reward for the No. 13 seed? The Danes draw national powerhouse Duke of the ACC. The game will be played at noon on Friday. The Dane men play Oklahoma at 7:27 p.m. on the same day.

Duke went 21-10 on the year and 11-5 in the ACC. UAlbany has some experience in the ACC, losing at North Carolina earlier in the year by a score of 71-56.

The No. 13 seed is the highest for an America East school since 2010. It is the highest seeding ever for UAlbany, who earned a No. 15 in 2014 after earning No. 14s in '12 and '13.

The Danes are led by star forward Shereesha Richards, who is the two-time league Player of the Year. She averages 21. 3 points per game.
