No. 14 UAlbany gave it their all on Friday night but in the end, No. 3 Oklahoma was too much for the 2015 America East Champions as Will Brown's group lost 69-60 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Sooners led throughout the game, powered by their post presence of TaShawn Thomas and his 16 points.

One of the keys for the Great Danes was to stay out of foul trouble. Mike Rowley fouled out with roughly five minutes left in the second half and UAlbany had a hard time getting to the charity stripe all night, shooting 6 of 10, the majority of them coming late in the game.

The purple and gold continued to fight throughout as they have all season and even though they were down by double digits in the second half, they kept the Sooners on their toes for the full 40 minutes.

The 2015 season will be always be remembered for the way the program, school and city embraced Peter Hooley and his family whenever his mother Sue Hooley passed away of colon cancer, coupled by the adversity the JP Honsinger family has gone through.

Thank you for the amazing year, UAlbany. Your fight both on and off the court is admired and appreciated by everyone in the Capital Region and beyond.
