Clemson OLB Vic Beasley was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the No.8 pick. The Falcons had one of the worst defenses in the league in 2014, and hope Beasley can be a start of a new era.

Beasley put up huge numbers at Clemson. In four seasons, Beasley posted 52.5 tackles for loss, 33 sacks seven forced fumbles and scored two touchdowns. He is Clemson’s all-time leader in sacks. He is a two-time first-team All-American and two-time first-team All-ACC selection. He also won the 2014 ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

A former running back, Beasley has explosiveness that is matched by very few in this draft class. He stands 6’3, 246 lbs, and can play standing up or with his hand in the dirt.

The 2015 NFL Draft this year was held in Chicago, Illinois. It's the first time that the event was not at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The new environment brought the majority of the first round draft picks, but not the top two, Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston.
