Obama Speaks Out on Penn State Sex Scandal

President Obama was interviewed by Westward One's Jim Gray and delivered some strong comments regarding this past week's Penn. State University's sex scandal revolving around Jerry Sandusky.

During halftime of the Carrier Classic aboard the USS Carl Vinson, President Obama spoke with Jim Gray of Westward One and President Obama had some strong remarks regarding the sex scandal.

What happened was heart-breaking, especially for the victims. We care about sports, it's important to us. But our number one priority has to be protecting our kids. Every institution has to examine how they operate and every individual has to take responsibility for making sure that our kids are protected. You can't just rely on Bureaucracy and systems in these kinds of situations. People have to step forward and tap into their core decency. When anyone is being mistreated, all of us have to step up.
