Odell Beckham Jr. Best Play. Kind of a foregone conclusion, right?

I thought so at least. Beckham's touchdown catch against the Cowboys last season could quite possibly be the best catch in NFL history, so it makes perfect sense that it took home the ESPY for "Best Play" last night.

Beckham's unbelievable athleticism is a major reason for optimism for the Giants this season. He had 91 catches for 1300 yards and 12 TDs last year -- in only 12 games. Remember that he battled a hamstring injury at the outset of the year.

*Side note: Notice that our own Geoff Schwartz was the first guy in the endzone to congratulate Beckham after the play.

It's great for us to see that OBJ won the ESPY, as the award comes to a New York athlete, but remember that his win did come at the expense of UAlbany lacrosse goalie Blaze Riorden, who was also nominated for the award.
