The New York Yankees traded for James Paxton earlier this week and another big deal involving a New York team and top SP could be in the cards soon. That would be in the form of the Mets potentially trading away Noah Syndergaard. Jon Heyman tweeted this a couple days ago:

It is not surprising to hear since his name came up around this past trade deadline but I am definitely very intrigued about this because is it the right move? He is 26 years old and is under team control for the next 3 seasons not to mention that his stuff is some of the best in the league. If I were a Mets fan I would prefer they wait to deal him at the deadline this season for multiple reasons. On the off chance that the Mets get off to a great start it'd be nice to have a starter like Syndergaard. He is irreplaceable for the 2019 season in my opinion. Secondly, the package received from a playoff contender could be bigger around that trade deadline. What do you think the Mets should do with Syndergaard? Comment below. The Winter Meetings will be from December 9th to the 13th.
