The Yankees grabbed three early runs (one in the 1st inning and two in the 3rd inning) behind CC Sabathia but couldn't hold the lead as a furious Baltimore comeback was in order.  The Birds bested New York 4-3.Baltimore scored three in the 6th inning off CC Sabathia and then Nate McLouth hit a solo shot off the Yanks lefty in the 7th.

Baltimore's youngster Kevin Gausman was lights out, pitching 4 1/3 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.

The Yankees had 11 hits but struggled again with runners in scoring position.  The Orioles had just five hits, all off of the losing pitcher Sabathia (8-6).  Joba Chamberlain pitched a scoreless 8th.
