Panthers TE Greg Olsen has had a long and difficult path that has finally led him to playing in a Super Bowl. Outside of football, Olsen has had his rough times with his family. Olsen's 3-year old son, TJ, suffers from a rare heart condition in where the left side of his heart is underdeveloped; otherwise known as hyposplastic left heart syndrome. TJ has already undergone three heart surgeries and still may need a heart transplant in the future.

Olsen now has a chance for his son and daughter to watch him play in a Super Bowl, and perhaps win it. Here is what Olsen said when asked about his family's journey up to this point:

Olsen is Cam Newton's favorite weapon and looks to be the x-factor for the Carolina Panthers.
