Yesterday, I reported that you should not be surprised if Siena men's basketball coach Jimmy Patsos received interest from Texas Tech about its head coaching position. Both have strong ties to Under Armour so it made sense for the Red Raiders to at least inquire about Patsos.

But rest assured, Siena fans, the Saints administration has acted, coming to terms on a two-year contract extension that will keep Patsos in Loudonville through 2020-21.

Patsos is coming off a season that saw Siena finish third in the MAAC and advance to the semis of the MAAC Tournament. The Saints should be good next year as well, as they return star guard Marquis Wright, star big man Brett Bisping and electrifying soon-to-be sophomore Nico Clareth.

It's a good move for Patsos to stick around as the program he's worked to rebuild is on the cusp of getting back to national prominence.

Siena will take on Kansas next season we know, but the full schedule is not out yet.
