Well seems Paul Pierce is now comfortable in his new surroundings of Brooklyn. In fact he is getting greedy about taking over the entire city.

Pierce, traded to Brooklyn with Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry from the Boston Celtics is now talking up the rivalry with the NY Knicks. In fact Pierce claims he hates the Knicks.

On the Michael Kay ESPN New York radio program, Pierce said " I think it's time for the Brooklyn Nets to start running this city." Pierce added " I think the hate for the Knicks has grown a little bit. Everyone knows how much I disliked the Knicks when I was with the Celtics, but I think it has grown to another level."

The future hall of famer seemed unhappy when traded from Boston to Brooklyn. He now claims he is comfortable and ready to go. He has high hopes for the Nets this season, as well he should.

Pierce told Kay he believes the Nets are the most talented team he has ever played on, a huge comment considering he won a title in Boston. Pierce said " what other team can claim they can put  a starting five on the floor where all the guys have been All- Stars.

Pierce's comments are a bit surprising, considering it wasn't the Knicks that sent him packing. You would think he would be more fired up to battle the Celts.

Brooklyn, with the 3 ex Celt players visit Boston on January 26th.
