Gomez, whose family left Cuba in the early 1960’s, shared his unique and very candid perspective on Ozzie’s comments, and how they resonate within the Cuban community. Bruce and Pedro spoke about what it was like for Pedro to visit Cuba, what Fidel Castro represents to he and his family, and what he feels about Ozzie and his statements. During their conversation Bruce questioned whether or not the Cuban protesters were being hypocritical, and if calling for Guillen’s job violates the first amendment.
