The Pittsburgh penguins are moving on to the Stanley Cup Finals after their 2-1 victory in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Penguins forward Bryan Rust scored both goals for Pittsburgh, becoming only the 5th rookie in the past 40 seasons to record a multiple-goal game in a Game 7 (Adam Henrique, Brad Marchand, Jeremy Roenick, Craig Janney).

"I'm in that mode where I'm getting the bounces and the breaks right now," Rust said.

The Penguins had their share of rough times this year as Mike Sullivan replaced Mike Johnston as head coach midway through the season. Since Sullivan took over, the Penguins have been a very scary team. After beating the Rangers in five games, the Capitals in six, and now the Lightning in seven, the Penguins advance to their first Stanley Cup Final since 2009 when they won it all.

Pittsburgh now faces the San Jose Sharks who appear in the franchise's first Stanley Cup Final. Game 1 is on Monday night in Pittsburgh.

"The biggest challenge is ahead of us," Crosby said. "We have to finish it off the right way."
