From "Armen and Levack" to live on "SportsCenter," Peter Hooley has been everywhere since his game-winning shot against Stony Brook last Saturday sent UAlbany back to the NCAA tournament.

That shot, which gave UA its third straight America East title, helped open up Hooley to the world outside of Albany. It helped open up his story of tragedy and perseverance.

Today that story could be seen in the New York Post, as Hooley penned a piece for the paper, explaining his emotions before the game against Stony Brook, about the love for his team, and about his mom.

It's a great piece from a great player, who's overcoming this tragedy with grace.

His story has become one of the best of 2015, and will certainly continue to be one of the best of the NCAA tournament, as the Great Danes attempt to knock off No. 3 Oklahoma on Friday night.

Whether the Danes win on Friday or not, Hooley is a guy that everyone should be rooting for.
