Peyton Manning has been the best thing to happen to the Indianapolis Colts since he got there in 1998 as the number one overall draft pick.  He leaves there after not setting foot on the field in 2011 after serious neck surgery.  That marriage is apparently over, and the announcement is to come on Wednesday.

Chris Mortensen is reporting that the Colts are going to be passing on the $28 million bonus and forgo the remaining four years on his contract.  The Colts have until 4pm on Thursday to make the final call, but sources say that they will make the announcement tomorrow.  At that point, Manning is free to go to any team that is interested.
