It's unclear how much time Peyton will miss this season. The Colts quarterback had a one-level cervical neck fusion on Thursday.  Manning underwent neck surgery on May 23 to repair a bulging disk.

Although highly-alarming, this latest procedure will not require the Colts to place Manning on the season-ending injury reserve list.  However, Manning is expected to miss two months at the very least.

Colts' fans were very worried about Manning missing the Week 1 contest against the division rival Houston Texans.  Now, the Colts are facing the possibility of Manning missing the entire season.  If the bright side consists of Manning only missing half of the season, there isn't much to be optimistic about regarding the Colts' postseason hopes.
