Phil Hughes will pitch tonight for the Yankees when they face the White Sox.  Ivan Nova will face the White Sox on Thursday.  One of them will most likely be heading to the bullpen afterward.

Since returning from the DL on July 5, Phil Hughes is 1-2 with a 5.49 ERA.  He was placed on the disabled list for nearly three months with what was officially described as right shoulder inflammation.

Ivan Nova made the most of a spot start opportunity on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles.  Nova only allowed two runs on six hits in seven innings pitched.  That impressive performance earned Nova another starting opportunity on Thursday night against the White Sox.

Phil Hughes will likely be moved to the bullpen.  He has a 1-3 record with an 8.24 ERA this season.  Hughes also made 44 relief appearances in 2009.
