Kevin Kolb has been the biggest trade asset of the off-season and now it seems the former 2nd round draft pick better start packing his bags.

The rumors have been flying around all off season about a possible move between Arizona and Philadelphia for Kevin Kolb, and after the lockout lifted those rumors started to get red hot.  Now espn.com is reporting that a trade will go through on Friday. In return for Kolb the Eagles would get cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a draft pick.

After signing that big contract extension last season it has been all down hill for Kolb in Philadelphia. After suffering a week one concussion, Michael Vick filled in at QB and had a MVP like season for the Eagles. It became clear that moving forward Philadelphia would Vick’s team. That’s when the Eagles decided to part ways with Kolb.

Arizona is going to be the big winner in this trade picking up a skilled quarterback is just what they needed.  Last year the team struggled in the wake of Kurt Warner’s retirement. The replacements, Derek Anderson, Jon Skelton, and Max Hall, all failed at the helm of the former NFC champion Cards. Hopefully Kolb is the spark that Arizona needs to get them back over the hump and into championship contention.
