Pizza Eating Challenge: Fish v Cady [VIDEO]

The results are in!  The Pizza Eating Challenge at Pizza Mare is complete.  Both Brian Cady and Alan Fish ate pounds of pizza.  One contestant won.  One contestant cried.  Check out the video to see the results.

Alan Fish was like a crafty old NASCAR driver.  He executed a brilliant strategy in the first Pizza Eating Challenge against Brian Cady.  He stayed within reach of Cady throughout the first 24 minutes of the 30-minute contest.  Fish trailed by about a half slice until that point.  But with six minutes to go, Fish turned on the afterburners and passed Cady en route to an epic triumph.

The image of the event was Cady hitting a wall with five minutes to go in the contest.  Cady was standing up with his head down and knuckles pressed firmly on the table in front of him.  It’s an image as vivid as Michael Jordan hitting the game-winning shot on Bryon Russell in the ’98 NBA Finals.

Alan “Mr. Fantastic” Fish only had 1.235 pounds of his pizza remaining while Brian “Big Bear” Cady had 1.505 pounds left.  It was a great contest and a great event.  A special thanks from 104.5 The Team goes out to Pizza Mare.  They provided a great venue for the contest and did a fantastic job of creating a great atmosphere.  Also, a special thanks to Nick Lee for editing this video and the EMT’s that were on hand.
