The Shenendehowa Boys' Basketball team is off to a 16-0 start this season after winning the Class AA state title a year ago. The Plainsmen are 13-0 in the Suburban Council and are blowing almost everyone out.

They won a prestigious holiday tournament in Elmira and look to be a clear favorite to win the Class AA sectional title.

But the Plainsmen are also receiving notice nationally - not just locally.

Check out the praise Shen is drawing from USA Today.

The Plainsmen are ranked No. 9 nationally in the Northeast Region and that can only go up if they keep winning. Armed with the area's best player in senior Kevin Huerter, Shen should keep drawing respect from those near and far.

Huerter has committed to Maryland already for his college ball and is expected to contribute right away, as we were told by Terrapins assistant coach Dustin Clark a week ago.

Shen takes on Troy on Friday.
