Plaxico Burress visited the Steelers and Giants, but in the end decided to sign a one-year contract with the New York Jets.

The New York Jets signed Plaxico Burress to a one-year contract worth $3.017 million dollars.  ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the contract is fully guaranteed.  Burress will team up with Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who just signed a five-year, $50 million dollar contract.  $24 million of Holmes' deal is fully guaranteed.

There was plenty of speculation that Burress would sign with the Giants, (the team he last played for).  He met with the Steelers on Saturday.

Many believed that he would be offered a contract by the team that originally drafted him in the first-round of the 2000 NFL Draft.  But in the end, Burress will be joining forces with Santonio Holmes, Mark Sanchez, Rex Ryan, and the rest of Gang Green.
