Plaxico Burress Would Love To Join The Philadelphia Eagles
After playing a year with the New York Jets, free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress is in search of a new team, and he likes what he sees in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Eagles started off the 2011 NFL season in a downward spiral. They finally got it together towards the end of the season, a season that they were favored to dominate. One player that is very familiar with the Eagles is Plaxico Burress, who use to face them often as a member of the New York Giants. Now, he says he would like to join them.
Burress is a free agent, and says that 'nothing would make him happier' than being able to join up with the Eagles. That's what he told a Philadelphia radio station. If he were to join with Philly, he would be part of a team that already has two fantastic wide receivers in DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. He says that he believes that the team that's in Philly right now can bring a championship to the city, and he would love to be a part of it. Plax is probably remembering the beat down that the Eagles put on the Jets in December when they won 45-19.
