Apparently, I'm one of many losers who checked out the Pro Bowl on Sunday.  If you needed more evidence that the NFL is insanely popular, here it is.

Okay, let me just say that the Pro Bowl is bad.  It's not interesting.  It's not well-played.  It's not compelling.  It's a half-paced, horrid, boring game.

I don't watch the Pro Bowl specifically for the game.  It's a combination of a few things.  I watch for the sideline interviews to see if anybody says anything crazy.  I listen to the commentating.  The game is meaningless so the broadcast turns into sports talk radio which is sometimes interesting.

I watch the game trying to pick up anything about real football.  You know, any talk about contract situations for certain players.  It really boils down to the fact that after the Super Bowl, there won't be any football for months.  I'm an NFL addict and the Pro Bowl is my last chance to get a tiny, TINY fix.

Believe it or not, the Pro Bowl earned its highest television rating since 2000.  The game drew a 7.7 rating and 12 share on FOX.  That's not bad at all considering the game of football isn't appealing when it's played so slowly.

I watched a very healthy portion of the game.  Probably too healthy, but I'm happy to find out that I'm one of many NFL addicts in America.
