The New York Rangers(16–6–2 )are currently on a three game losing streak, and things don't seem to be getting any better. On Monday head coach Alain Vigneault announced that, forward Derek Stepan will miss 4-6 weeks with broken ribs.

Stepan has six goals and six assists for the Rangers in 23 games on the year. Vigneault called the hit by Matt Belesky that injured Stepan "late".  Rangers defenseman Dylan McIlrath retaliated by fighting Beleskey immediately.

The Rangers will count in Chris Kreider, Rick Nash, and Viktor Stalberg to step up.They will to bounce back Monday night when they host the Carolina Hurricanes.
