The New York Rangers have been there before. We were blatantly reminded of that on Friday night when they came back from a 1-0 deficit late in the third period and won in overtime.

Ryan McDonagh was able to get one past the over-the-top impressive Braden Holtby at 9:37 in the overtime period. That blew the roof off of Madison Square Garden, a place that the Rangers hope they get back to.

“I know for sure they don’t want to come back here for another game," said Rangers goal Henrik Lundqvist. “We are still alive. Being in their shoes, we’ve been there. Going home now, there’s a lot of pressure for them.”

The Rangers were down 3-1 in the second round of the playoffs last year as well whenever they came back and improbably beat Pittsburgh. While this year's same deficit to the Capitals feels much different, we still have to remind ourselves that this team has the belief that they can do it again.

With the series at 3-2 in Washington's favor, Game 6 will be at the Capitals on Sunday night at 7pm.
