The New York Rangers scored three unanswered goals to break open a tie game and defeat the New Jersey Devils 6-3 at Madison Square Garden in its first preseason game of the year.

Rangers forward Brian Gibbons (right) opened the scoring at 1:21 of the first period. He would then go on to have two assists, including one on Megna's goal three minutes after his goal. Rangers forward Oscar Lindberg scored at 14:43 of the third period, and Megna would finish off the beating with a goal scored with 32 seconds left.

Gibbons, acquired over the offseason as a free agent, looked good in his first game for the blues. It’s only the first game, and a preseason game , but if they Ranger find out they got a player with a lot of potential for basically nothing this sleeper could grab himself a roster spot.
