Well, the season is not over just yet for La Salle High School graduate (and Cohoes native) Zach Remillard.

His Coastal Carolina Chanticleers fell to the Arizona Wildcats in Game 1 of the College World Series Championship in Omaha on Monday night.

With the loss, Coastal now has to win twice against the Wildcats to take home the title.

Coastal had a chance to rally in the ninth inning, leading off the inning with a single before Remillard bunted for a hit. With two on and nobody out though, Arizona induced a double play and a strikeout to end the game.

Remillard finished the game 1-4 and is hitting .346 this season. He was a 10th round draft pick of the Chicago White Sox in this year's major league draft.

He's the second Capital Region product in three years to play in the College World Series: Shen graduate Branden Cogswell played for Virginia in 2014.
