Monday night, Yankee fans got a punch to the stomach, finding out they had lost closer David Robertson to the White Sox.

Tuesday night, they got a bit of good news when it was announced that free agent starting pitcher Jon Lester will be signing with the Chicago Cubs.

Why is that good for Yankee fans? Lester's decision to sign with the Cubs means he will not be rejoining the Red Sox.

The deal is reportedly for 6 years/$155 with a vesting 7th year option.

Lester owns a career 116-67 record.
