Confirmed: Huerter Invited to Nike Basketball Academy

Marisa Jacques of TWC News is reporting that Shen soon-to-be senior Kevin Huerter has received an invite to new Nike Basketball Academy in Santa Monica, Calif.

The Academy will bring together some of the nation's top high schoolers, as well as returning college players.

*We have confirmed through text that this is true. We are told Huerter is "looking forward to it."

NBA players LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Davis are all scheduled to be in attendance. According to Hawkeyesports.com, Kyrie Irving is also scheduled to be there, but we'll have to assume that's changed since his latest knee injury.

Huerter has received more 20 Division 1 offers thus far. Notre Dame, Syracuse, Maryland, Miami, Texas Tech, Albany, Siena, Xavier, Creighton, and Davidson are just a few of the marquee programs who have sent scholarship offers.

Huerter helped lead Shenendehowa to the NYS Class AA state title this season. His long frame, ability to defend, shoot from deep, and elevate make him a very attractive option for high-level programs.
