Rick Bennett Calls In To Congratulate Scott Marr [AUDIO]

UAlbany Lacrosse Head Coach Scott Marr joined Armen and Levack at Zappone Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram on Monday so that 104.5 The Team could recognize the longtime Danes coach for his program's successful season.

During the interview, Union hockey coach and National Champion Rick Bennett called in.

"I just wanted to say congratulations on the year," said Bennett. "That was one heck of a game on Saturday. To tell you that I'm a big lacrosse fan would be a blatant lie but you've switched me over. I sure was a big fan watching your team play the other night and I've been following you through the papers. Tremendous job!"

Marr grew up a Rangers fan, watching Rick Bennett.

"I'm just so excited for what you did for the area," said Marr.

The UAlbany lacrosse team made it to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament for just the second time in the school's history, falling to Notre Dame in overtime on Saturday.
