I may be the only one who cares about great baseball defense, but even those who don't care have to find this impressive...

Anthony Rizzo of the Cubs, wow! Lets break it down:

1. The run from first base to the tarp is a long one. It takes good athleticism and speed to just get there.

2. He was able to maintain sight of the ball while running that distance.

3. He stands on the tarp. Do you know hard it is to stand flat on a rounded surface?

4. He is able to balance and lean and catch the ball.

5. He goes into the stands, without falling.

6. He throws the ball back into the infield from the stands.

7. I'm very impressed. I've seen many good catches this season, but this one is a new kind of special.

What do you think of Rizzo's play? Is it the best play you can remember this season?
