If you’ve never been to the Rockin’ On The River events in Troy, you’re missing out on a great time. Every Wednesday, starting this week through August there is a free concert in the Green Island Bridge parking lot behind Brown’s Brewing Co and Ryan’s Wake. It happens rain or shine and they have a great lineup this year too! Check out the schedule and more info after the jump. One of the best things about Rockin’ on The River is that the folks in Troy take great care to make sure that there is something for everyone during the course of the season.

Kicking off the season is Aquanett – an 80s cover band and they are a ton of fun. Here’s the entire schedule.

June 22 Aquanett (Playing hits from the 80′s)

June 29 The Hillbilly Horns (Country Night)

July 6th  Hair of The Dog (Irish Favorites)

July 13th Soul Session

July 20th Super 400 (Troy’s own)

July 27th   Who’s Bad (The Nations #1 tribute to Michael Jackson)

August 3rd   Start Making Sense (playing the music of The Talking Heads)

August 10th Blues for Breakfast (Celebrating the music of The Grateful Dead)

August 17th The B-Street Band (A tribute to Bruce Springsteen)

August 24th Blue Hand Luke and 3-4-3 (Local Legends)

We’ll be there at a bunch of these shows and we hope to see you there too! Besides, what else do you have

happening on a Wednesday night? Exactly – not a darn thing.

By the way – there are a few rules to make sure everyone has a great time. They serve beer there so no need to bring your own. Actually, please don’t – you can’t nor can you bring coolers, backpacks, etc. There are some other small things to know but nothing you can’t handle.

When you’re done hanging out, make sure you head into one of the awesome restaurants downtown Troy has to offer especially those right near the concert such as Dinosaur BBQ, Ryan’s Wake, Jose Malone’s (Mexican Irish food? Who knew!), or even Brown’s Brewing Co. If you party too hard, you could always grab a room at the Best Western.

See you in Troy!
