Sam Rowley converted on a turnaround jump hook with 3.5 seconds left to lift the UAlbany men's basketball team to a 64-62 win on the road at New Hampshire on Tuesday night.

The win moves the Danes to 7-7 overall and 2-0 in America East play.

“I’m fortunate that I was the benefactor of other guys playing well,” said Rowley to UAlbanysports.com. “After the timeout we knew that UNH would be coming out on our shooters. Dallas [Ennema] did a great job of finding the open man and it happened to be me.”

Rowley, one of the Danes offensive leaders this year, had a relatively slow night otherwise, scoring just eight points and securing four rebounds in 30 minutes of play.

Peter Hooley led the Danes in scoring with 17 while Ray Sanders added 15 and Evan Singletary poured in 14.

The Danes have started to shoot the ball better from the outside, converting on 6-13 from three-point range in the win.

UAlbany will play at UMass-Lowell on Saturday in league play.
