The RPI-WPI rivalry is 112 years strong. The matchup of Engineers goes all the way back to 1894 and on Saturday at noon, the two schools will write another chapter into the Transit Trophy book.

RPI is coming off a season-opening win, which makes the Engineers 6-0 under head coach Ralph Isernia in openers. Guilderland's George Marinopoulos threw for 255 yards and a touchdown in the 40-19 win at Allegeny. On the defensive side of the ball, Shaker grad Sean Egan earned co-Defensive Performer of the Week in the Liberty League with his nine tackles and forced fumble.

RPI is building off a playoff appearance last season and the Engineers will have to do most of it on the road in 2018. The only consecutive games at home won't come until the very end of the regular season when RPI hosts St. Lawrence and then the Dutchman Shoes game.
