Even after the completion of the Rangers comeback over the Capitals, hockey can stay on the minds of the people of the Capital Region as RPI announced its 2015-16 hockey schedule on Thursday.

RPI will play a 36-game schedule, including 17 at home at Houston Field House. The Engineers will open with an exhibition against St. Thomas University on Oct. 3 before the regular season opener on Oct. 9 against UMass-Lowell.

The most interesting dynamic to the RPI home schedule is the addition of Boston College (Oct. 11) and Michigan (Oct. 24). Boston College hasn't visited Troy since 1996.

As far as the RPI-Union meetings for 2015-16? RPI will travel to Union on Oct. 30 before hosting the Dutchmen on Halloween ("Black Saturday") on Oct. 31

The annual Mayor's Cup Game will be held Jan. 23 at the Times Union Center.
