RPI scored two runs in the top of the first inning on Wednesday against Keystone in the Division III NCAA New York Regional, and that's all they would need, en route to a 2-0 victory.

The win pushes the Engineers to 27-15 on the season and helps them stay in the winners bracket of the eight-team, double-elimination regional.

Averill Park graduate Tyler Listing ignited the rally in the first inning after being hit by a pitch. Jared Jensen then singled before an error on a sacrifice bunt loaded the bases with nobody out.

A double play scored a run to make it 1-0 and then a single by Thomas Desmond gave the Engineers the second run.

Jensen also threw 7.2 scoreless innings on the mound for the win. All-American and Shenendehowa product Sean Conroy came in to get the final out of the eighth inning, and then worked a scoreless ninth for the save.

RPI will face SUNY Old Westbury tonight at 7:45 p.m.
