San Francisco opened up the game with an impressive 17-0 lead.  They knew that it wouldn't be that easy as the Saints battled back to put the game at 17-14 by half time.  Unfortunately for the Saints, two scoreless quarters came back to bite them because the 49ers came up huge with only seconds left in the game.

Alex Smith would complete  a 14 yard pass to Vernon Davis to put the 9ers up with just nine seconds left on the clock.  That gave Smith his third TD of the day and Davis his second.  Drew Brees tossed four TD's and 462 yards, but also two costly interceptions as well.

San Fran now awaits the winner of the Giants and Packers to see if they will be traveling for the NFC championship or get comfy at home.
