Maple Hill graduate Jaime Schultz is on the verge of a Major League call-up, hopefully when rosters expand in September.

The hard-throwing right-hander is 5-4 this season with a 3.16 ERA in 108 innings. He continues to strike batters out at a blistering pace, fanning 128 in those 108 innings. His command issues have subsided for the time being as well, and he has just 54 walks in those outings.

Schultz is a frequent guest on our station and today he joined 'Big Board Sports' to talk about his timeline for a promotion, what the trade deadline is like for people in an organization, his success, his work on his command, the best minor league promotion he's seen and what it was like throwing in one of his first professional games at Joe Bruno Stadium.

Schultz is currently a member of the AAA Durham Bulls
