Six games into his junior season, Joe Cremo has entered an exclusive club at UAlbany. The 2-time state champion at Scotia is now the 10th member of the 1,000-point club in the Great Danes' Division I history.

Because of his high school success in the Capital Region, high expectations followed Cremo to UAlbany and he has lived up to every bit of them, save for an America East championship to this point. The scoring milestone comes on a day when Cremo scored a career-high 30 points as the Great Danes improved to 6-0 with a win at Holy Cross.

When Cremo arrived at UAlbany, he joined a team that had just gone to the NCAA Tournament and returned 4 of its starters from that season. Even with that said, it's possible this team will be better or at least go farther in the postseason. The Danes were bounced in the America East tournament by Hartford in Cremo's freshman season. This is the best start for the program in more than 30 years when UAlbany was playing at the Division III level.
