Syracuse Football's rumored lead candidate will not be coaching the Orange for the future.

 

Scott Forst the offensive coordinator for the Oregon Ducks will be leaving Eugene and taking over as the new head coach of the Central Florida football program. In Central New York, Frost had been rumored to be the favorite to land the Syracuse football head coaching job after Scott Shafer was let go by the University last month. Frost will take over after former UCF head coach George O'Leary announced his retirement from the position in October after coaching the Knights since 2004. O'Leary in fact has ties to the Syracuse area as he was once served as coach for Liverpool High School in the Central New York area. Frost joined the Oregon staff in 2009 under Chip Kelly. Syracuse now turns their attention to finding a new head man for their program.
