The walls dividing sports and sex continue to come down.

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s historic ruling on gay marriage, the Seattle Mariners will become the first Major League Baseball team to fly the gay pride flag at a game.

The flag will be unfurled this Sunday, when the Mariners host the Chicago Cubs.

A spokeswoman for the team said, “We're a part of this community. Our fans are a reflection of our community. We thought this was an appropriate gesture on a day that is very meaningful to the LGBT community."

This is merely the latest step in the acceptance of homosexuality in sports. Earlier this year, veteran NBA player Jason Collins became the first person in any of the four major sports to come out.
